  1. Thank you for trying DWANGO...

  5. To install the 2.03 client interface follow these steps:
  6.  
  7. 1)    You should see 2 files:
  8.  
  9.     dwango.exe    executable containing the install files
  10.     readme.1st    this text file
  11.  
  12. 2)    Type DWANGO <press return>
  13.  
  14.     This will create the follwing files:
  15.  
  16.     dw203.001    2.03 install file
  17.     install.dat    data file
  18.     install.exe    executable program
  19.     install.scr    install screen
  20.     install.doc    documentation file about the install
  21.             program used. Nothing to do with the
  22.             actuall install of DWANGO 2.03.
  23.  
  24. 3)    type: INSTALL <press return>
  25.  
  26.     follow the install prompts to create the 2.03
  27.     client interface software in the C:\DWANGO
  28.     directory. When completed you be in the
  29.     C:\DWANGO directory.
  30.  
  31.     files created:
  32.  
  33.     dapi203.exe    api to link games to 2.03
  34.     dmod203.exe    doom links
  35.     duke203.exe    duke link
  36.     dwango.doc    dwango documentation file
  37.     dwango.str    modem init strings used
  38.     dwango.exe    client inteface 2.03
  39.     tvmod203.exe    terminal velocity links
  40.  
  41. 4)    If you are not already in the C:\DWANGO directory
  42.     you will need to change to that directory. Type
  43.     DWANGO <press return>. Initialy you will need to
  44.     create a user account and setup theh client interface
  45.     to recognize your modem and what server you wish to play
  46.     on.
  47.  
  48. 5)    It is important to make note that currently the 2.03
  49.     client interface will not run with memory managers
  50.     installed.
  51.  
  52.     It is not advisable to run DWANGO 2.03 in a windows
  53.     enviroment.
